Early Interceptive Orthodontics (Phase I treatment)
Growth Modification: Certain appliances are used during key growth phases to help guide jaw development and improve jaw relationships. These may be recommended for children with bite discrepancies or skeletal imbalances as they grow.
Palatal Expansion: Palatal expansion is used to gently widen the upper jaw while a child is still growing. Creating adequate space early can help improve bite alignment, support proper tooth eruption, and reduce the need for more extensive treatment later on.
Invisalign Palatal Expander System: In select cases, the Invisalign Palatal Expander may be used to gradually widen the upper arch. This removable option is often easier for children and parents since it does not require at home turning, while still supporting expansion and proper spacing.
Habit Guidance Appliances: These appliances are designed to help address oral habits such as thumb sucking or tongue positioning that may affect dental and jaw development. By guiding healthier patterns early, we can support more balanced growth and alignment.
Invisalign: Clear aligners can be used to address early spacing, crowding, or alignment concerns while making room for permanent teeth. Their removable design allows for easier brushing and flossing, supporting healthy dental development.
Limited Braces: In some cases, braces may be placed on select teeth to address specific alignment or bite concerns.
